The role of technology in enhancing donor experience
The donor experience is still the job. From the first tap to years of regular gifts, the details shape whether someone stays. Software does not replace gratitude — it stops the form, the receipt, and the CRM sync from eating the week.
What “good” feels like
Clear mission. A form that is done in about 20 seconds. A receipt that arrives while the donor still remembers giving. A thank-you that uses their name. Impact they can point to. None of that requires a development department if the platform does the boring parts.
Where GoGive sits
Online giving portal, branded to the charity. Automatic acknowledgements and DGR receipts when the organisation is eligible. HubSpot, Salesforce, or Zoho if that is already the database of record. Recurring weekly or monthly without a second tool.
Charities such as LIVIN have used GoGive to put a branded form on a site that already had a strong identity. Automatic receipts and acknowledgements meant the online gift did not create a back-office pile. Prioritising monthly on the form grew the regular base — the kind of work a small mental-health charity can run without hiring a coordinator for checkout.
LIVIN’s public form is live (118 gifts at the time we checked the hosted widget). We do not invent a quote for them. Their own site is livin.org.
